Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Distinguished Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses within legal contexts. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and is the recipient of many honors the national level and international. She has consulted with various governments and agencies across the world regarding policies and research on children's victimization within the court system. She is consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional organizations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and three Divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
